We are clinical psychologists. Clinical psychologists are experts in human behaviour and mental health. We have undergone six years of university training (which includes two years of university Masters level training in Clinical Psychology) and post-qualification supervised practice, making us more specifically trained than most psychologists (who have usually done four years of academic training). We are fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. We abide by the Australian Psychological Society’s strict Code of Conduct. We are required to keep our knowledge current by participating in regular professional development activities (eg, attending conferences, participating in professional supervision).
